Educating the Leaders Who Will Shape the AI-First World

Professor Vaibhav Chaudhary, also known as 'Pepe' among colleagues and friends, is a global educator of AI & Innovation and an entrepreneur. With experience spanning academia, startups, and international development in India, Europe, and the Americas, he bridges the worlds of paper, practice, and policy. His current research focuses on the intersection of AI, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability, and he serves as Editor of the REGEPE Entrepreneurship and Small Business Journal (Scopus/Scielo). On invitations from various organizations, Prof. Chaudhary has designed and taught courses to students and working executives from Asia, Europe, and the Americas. He has trained several Founders, CEOs, CTOs, Directors, and Professors, including senior academics from Columbia University, Rutgers University, IIM Bangalore, etc., senior executives from JP Morgan, SAP, Deloitte, etc., and senior officials from the governments of the UK, India, Singapore, etc. He is also the Founder of InnoTech Consultants (InnoCon), providing AI/ML and software solutions. Moreover, Pepe is interested in cross-border innovation, international funding, and consulting in general. He also serves as an advisor to various boards and organizations. His academic journey spans IIT Bombay (India), UNICAMP (Brazil), NHH (Norway), Vanderbilt (USA), and SSE (Sweden).

While on the diplomatic mission, Pepe gave invited lectures and taught Game Theory, Data Science, and AI. He came to full-time (kind of) academia in 2023, and introduced GenAI. In 2025, Prof. Vaibhav introduced Agents and AgenticAI. In January 2026, he introduced Quantum Science, Technology, and Quantum Entrepreneurship.

"A decade back, as a student, I kept hearing that there was an industry-academia gap, research-teaching gap, research-practice gap, etc., but not in our programs. Personally, I use articles published as early as yesterday haha. Also, my recent discussions/meetings have been focused on grassroots adoption/training of AI, working closely with ministries/states/judiciary, etc., for responsible AI use (in short, things which are not in the comfort zone of people involved :P)"
